Add new user and edit parameters of the existing one

To create a new user, click the "Create" icon and fill out the following form:

  • User - main parameters of the account.
  • Permissions - list of options that a user can allow to his WWW domains.
  • Limits - limits list, e.g. the disk space, users number or data bases limit.
  • Resources - list of limits on CPU time, memory and processes number running by a user. These processes are scripts, CGI-programs or any other applications. Image:isp_pro.png
  • Notes - field for additional information related to user account. Image:isp_pro.png


User

Module «Users»
  • Username - enter a username to access the control panel.
  • Password - enter the password that will be used to enter the control panel. The password can be randomly generated by the system. To get one, click a special button next to the field.
  • Re-enter the password - retype the password to ensure that it has been entered correctly. If it was randomly generated, confirmation is set automatically.
  • Domain - enter the domain name that will the used to create a WWW domain and an e-mail domain for this user. If you do not want to create a WWW domain and an e-mail domain than leave this field blank.
  • IP-address - select the IP-address that will be used for this user.Image:isp_pro.png
  • IPv6 - select the IPv6 address that will be used for this user.Image:isp_pro.png
  • Owner - select the administrator of the user.
  • Preset - select the preset to fill out the form faster. You can add and edit presets in the Presets module.
  • E-mail - enter the e-mail address that will be used for system notifications. Image:isp_pro.png
  • Send message - check the box to send a welcome message to a newly created reseller. You can create it in the Presets module. Image:isp_pro.png

Permissions

Module «Users»
  • Shell access - check the box to allow shell access for the user.
  • SSL - check the box to enable HTTPS for the WWW domains of the user.
  • CGI - check the box to enable PHP as CGI for the WWW domains of the user.
  • SSI - check the box to enable SSI for the WWW domains of the user.
  • PHP as an Apache module - check the box to enable PHP as Apache module for the WWW domains of the user.
  • PHP as CGI - check the box to enable PHP as CGI for the WWW domains of the user.
  • PHP as FastCGI - check the box to enable PHP as FastCGI for the WWW domains of the user.
  • PHP safe_mode - check the box to enable PHP safe mode. Image:isp_pro.png
  • WSGI - WSGI (Web Server Gateway Interface) is active for the WWW domains of this user.

Limits

Module «Users»
  • Disk quota - enter the maximum amount of disk space that can be used by this user.
  • FTP accounts - enter the maximum number of ftp accounts that can be used by this user.
  • Mailboxes - enter the maximum number of mailboxes that can be used by this user.
  • Domains - enter the maximum number of domain zones that can be used by this user.
  • WWW Domains - enter the maximum number of WWW domains that can be used by this user.
  • E-mail domains - enter the maximum number of e-mail domains that can be used by this user.
  • Databases - enter the maximum number of databases that can be used by this user.
  • Database users - enter the maximum number of database users that can be used by this user.
  • Traffic - enter the maximum amount of monthly data traffic that can be used by this user.

Resources

Module «Users»
  • CPU limit - enter the maximum amount of CPU time a process of the user may consume.
  • Memory limit - enter the maximum amount of memory the process may consume.
  • Process limit - enter the maximum number of web-processes processes that a user can run simultaneously.
  • Requests to MySQL - enter the maximum number of requests to MySQL available to the user per hour.
  • MySQL updates - enter the maximum number of updates of MySQL available to the user per hour.
  • Connections to MySQL - enter the maximum number of connections to MySQL available to the user per hour.
  • Simultaneous connections to MySQL - enter the maximum number of connections to MySQL per user.
  • Apache mpm-itk workers - enter the number of Apache mpm-itk workers per user.
  • Email limit - provide the maximum number of email messages this user is allowed to send per hour from all his mailboxes. If you want to set the maximum number of emails that the server is allowed to send per hour, please, refer to the Email limit module.
  • Concurrent connections per session - provide the maximum allowed number of connections per session.

In this tab you may make notes concerning the user account.

Edit user parameters

To edit a user, locate the user you wish to edit, click the "Edit" icon and modify the settings you want to change.

Note: you cannot modify the username in the user edit form.
