Administrator management (DSmanager)

Dedicated server administrator is a special type of user accounts in DSmanager who has the same privileges for server management as the root user. He may manage control panel users and access the control panel of any user with his privileges. An administrator can manage the entire system, including its hardware devices, such as KVM switches, network switches and power control. He can configure operating system that can be installed on dedicated servers, register new dedicated servers in the control panel, reboot, enable or disable them, assign IP-addresses to his dedicated servers, and so on.

In this module you can add a new administrator, edit the existing administrator properties, delete, disable and enable any of the administrator accounts, if necessary.

View the administrator' list

  • User name - name of a control panel administrator that he uses to access the control panel.
  • Status - current status of the selected administrator account:
Image:p-on.png - the selected administrator is active.
Image:p-off.png - the selected administrator is not active.

Create administrator

To create a new administrator account, click "New" and fill out the form:

  • Login - enter the username for the administrator that he will use to access the DSmanager control panel.
  • Password - enter a password that an administrator will use to log in to the system. The password can be randomly generated by the system. To get one, click a special button next to the field.
  • Re-type password - retype the password to ensure it has been entered correctly. If it was generated by the system, confirmation is set automatically.

Edit administrator

To edit an administrator, locate the one you wish to edit, click the "Edit" icon and modify the settings you want to change.

Delete administrator

To delete an administrator, select it from the list and click the "Delete" icon. Confirm that you want to delete the selected administrator by clicking OK on the following form.
