An Affiliate program is a special form of cooperation between a merchant (i.e. provider) and affiliates. It can be a marketing program where affiliates place the advertiser's banner ads or links to the provider' site on their web sites. When a customer clicks the affiliate link and performs a desired action, for example becomes the provider's customer, the affiliate will earn a commission (referral fee) from the provider for each purchase this customer will make.

An Affiliate is any web site, web master or Internet user who advertises the provider's products and services and earns a revenue according to the terms of service of the Affiliate program or agreement.

Once a potential client clicks the affiliate link and refers to the provider's web-site, corresponding information is tracked in the provider's system. He can find out the web-site from which a visitor came, his IP-address, date and time when he clicked the link.

In this module You can view the information on the affiliate programs, that the customer is registered in, change the current affiliate program and view the affiliate link click-through statistics.
