A backup copy is a copy of a program, file and other data that is stored on a separate storage device. Such copy can be used to restore the original after a data loss event. In case of equipment failure you can always restore the preserved information.

Backing up is normally a routine part of the operation of large businesses. Lost of information can cause a major crisis or lead to business failure. Individuals who don not back up computer data run the same risk.

From this page a Virtual Private Server owner can view his server backup plans and restore the required data.

If you need to restore any of the files, either double-click to select the required backup, or click the "View" icon to select the backup set you want to use to restore files.
