A Blacklist is a list of e-mail addresses, IP-addresses or mail domain names that are originating with known spammers. You can use blacklists to filter out unwanted e-mails, as most e-mail applications today have filtering capabilities. The Blacklist is a useful solution in case dnsbl or greylisting cannot block numerous emails that pass through your server.

The blacklist feature is only available for administrators.

You can provide e-mail addresses, IP-addresses or mail domain names to be blacklisted.

  • Email address should be entered as "spamer@spam.dom". If you are running Exim, you can enter a mask "*spamer*@spam.dom", where "*" is a random symbol.
  • Email domain should be entered as "spam.dom", if you are running Sendmail or Postfix. If you are running Exim, enter a mask, such as "*@spam.dom".
  • IP address should be entered as "12.34.56.78".

You can choose what you would like to do with rejected senders: reject either with a standard message or with a specific message. This allows you to solve issues with the mail server load caused by a large amount of spam.
