FTP users. Technical details (ISPmanager)
FTP users are system users having the same UID as the user to which this FTP account is related. It allows this user to perform operations over files in the FTP accounts' home directories. Check that chroot is specified in user's home directory once a user accesses the control panel. For example, in proftpd you must add the line below into proftpd.conf:
Any of the FTP users can create a public_html folder in their home directory that will be accessible at http://site-name/~user-name.
FTP users with private home directory have their own UID with their home directories located in the users subdirectory of the user directory. For security reasons we recommend that you use this variant to create an FTP account to store private files.
