IP-addresses management (IPmanager)

The IP-addresses listed in the table below might have been allocated for the following purposes:
- Creating a new virtual private server via VDSmanager.
- Adding alias IP-addresses to a virtual private servers through VDSmanager.
- Creating slave names servers through DNSmanager.
- Creating a dedicated server through DSmanager.
- Assigning IP-address manually through IPmanager (PRT record creation).
This module can be used to manage IP-addresses and associated domain names. You can add a new IP-address that you can use in other software products, such as VDSmanager or DSmanager, edit and delete them.
View the IP-addresses list
- IP-address - existing IP-address.
- Domain name - domain name resolved to this IP-address.
- IP-address type - IP-address can be used for the following purposes:
- primary - addresses of this type can be used to create virtual private servers through VDSmanager.
- alias - addresses of this type can be used to assign alias IP-addresses to virtual servers through VDSmanager.
- dns - addresses of this type can be used to create slave names servers through DNSmanager.
- ds - addresses of this type are used to create dedicated servers through DSmanager.
- Notes - field for additional information.
Add new IP-address
To add a new IP-address, click the "New" icon and fill out the form fields:
- IP-address - enter an IP-address, which reverse domain record you are modifying.
- IP-address type - from the drop-down menu choose a required type:
- primary - addresses of this type are used to create virtual servers through VDSmanager.
- alias - addresses of this type are used to assign alias IP-addresses to virtual servers through VDSmanager.
- dns - addresses of this type are used to create slave names servers through DNSmanager.
- ds - addresses of this type are used to create dedicated servers through [[DSmanager.
- Domain name - enter a domain name that is resolved to this IP-address. The name must be followed by the dot.
- Notes - field for additional information concerning new IP-address.
Edit reverse DNS record
To edit a reverse DNS record for an IP-address, select the IP-address from the list, click the "Edit" icon and modify the data in the form:
- IP-address - existing IP-address. The field is read-only.
- Domain name - enter a domain name resolved to this IP-address. The name must be followed by the dot.
- Notes - field for additional information concerning new IP-address.
Release IP-addresses
To release an IP-address, select it from the list and click the "Delete icon. Confirm that you wish to release by clicking OK on the following form. Once you are done, all the reverse DNS records will be released, and their IP-addresses will be released.
