System requirements

Before installing IPmanager, make sure that the following requirements are met:

Operating system

We would recommend that you run FreeBSD, CentOS или Debian Linux in order to ensure the best possible experience with our software.

Software

All services that IPmanager requires will be automatically installed during the installation process. We recommend that you install IPmanager on a clean operating system.

If any part of the software is already installed on the server, the Setup Wizard will try to configure it to run with IPmanager.

IP address

A static IP-address is required. It must be present on the server network and must be used for connections through http (addresses translation is not allowed).

The IP-address of the control panel's license must come first on the list of IP-addresses the ifconfig command returns. If not, you can run install.4.sh with the --ip IP-address key.

Installing the panel

Be sure to obtain the active license for your IP-address at http://ispsystem.com/ru/order/index.html. You can check whether you license is active in BILLmanager.

Enter shell on your server and run any of the commands below:

fetch "http://download.ispsystem.com/install.4.sh"
curl -o install.4.sh "http://download.ispsystem.com/install.4.sh"
wget "http://download.ispsystem.com/install.4.sh"

Execute:

sh install.4.sh

The following are the keys to run install.4.sh script that can be specified in case of problems:

--os OS Provide the operating system manually
--arch ARCH Provide the architecture manually (i386, i686)
--ip IP Provide the IP-address license manually

The installation script will list the licenses for your IP address. Choose a software you want to install by typing the number corresponding to the product. Choose a mirror from which IPmanager version (stable or beta) will be downloaded.

The Setup Wizard will display the operating system and software product you are going to install. Click YES to proceed:

Provide the administrator password (login: admin) to gain access to IPmanager:

A list of packages will be displayed:

When prompted, select the components you want to install. We recommend installing "Install most popular software":

You can select other types as well, such as Apache and bind. However, default installation is advisable.

The installation starts informing you about the package being installed:

When the installation has been completed, the setup Wizard will display the results.

Open the URL https://ip_address:1500/manager/ipmgr in your favourite browser to gain access to IPmanager.

Apache

The Include directive is added into the Apache configuration file to run IPmanager:

Include /usr/local/ispmgr/etc/ispmgr.inc

Execute the command to add a secret key for secure connection over SSL:

openssl req -new -newkey rsa:1024 -nodes -keyout /etc/mail/certs/server.key -x509 -days 5000 -subj "/C=XX/CN=имя-хоста/emailAddress=root@имя-хоста" -out /etc/mail/certs/server.crt

The key and the certificate will be placed into: /usr/local/etc/apache/ssl.crt/server.crt /usr/local/etc/apache/ssl.key/server.key
