Message templates

Message template is a pre-defined text that you can use to automatically notify your customers through e-mail. If you need to create messages with similar configuration, you can create an email template and use it as the basis for creating new message.
For example, you can create a service renewal notification template that will notify a customer that his service will expire soon. Or you can create a template with step-by-step instructions on how to restore a password, if a customer forgets it and cannot access the billing panel.
If several languages are used in your billing interface, add message templates in different language.

The Message templates module is used to manage message template: you can add a new template, edit an existing one and delete any of them, if necessary.
View a list of message templates
- Template name - name of the message template.
- Description - brief description of the message template.
Edit template
To edit a template, locate the one you wish to edit, click the "Edit" icon and modify the settings you want to change.
Test template
The function is used to view a result message that will be sent to your customers. To do that, select the required message and click the "Test" icon.
The following forms will be displayed:
Template test
- Locale - select a locale for displaying your message in the required language.
The second field will vary depending on the message you are going to create. For example, you will need to provide the id of the service or personal account. The full list of parameters can be found here.
XML
On this form you can see the XML document that your email message will be based on.
On this form you can see the resulting message that will be sent to your customers.
Edit sms template
To edit a template, locate the one you wish to edit, click the "Edit" icon and modify the settings you want to change.
- Enable for all customers - select the check box to apply the sms template for all your customers. By default sms notifications are not active on the user level.
Test sms template
The function is used to view a result message that will be sent to your customers. To do that, select the required message and click the "Test" icon. SMS templates are tested in the same manner as email messages.
