If you wish to upgrade the hardware or transfer a dedicated server to another owner you will have to reinstall the operating system.

WARNING! All the data on your dedicated server will be lost after reinstallation of the operating system.

Make sure your dedicated server supports Boot ROM. You will need to have a pre-installed software and operating system image before starting reinstallation.

To reinstall dedicated server, click the "Reinstall" icon and fill out the following form:

  • IP-address - enter an address that will be assigned to the server network interface.
  • Hostname - enter a server domain name that will be used by some server programs.
  • Operating system - enter the name of the operating system image.
  • Password - enter a new root user password.
  • Confirmation - retype the password to ensure that it has been entered correctly.

Operating system installation may take some time. If you use a KVM switch, you can track the whole installation process and avoid errors that can occur.
