SMS messages are a very useful and simple means of corporate communication systems. You can send your message to the intended person and your SMS can be delivered immediately. But when using the sms function you need to track down messages sent in your billing system, especially delivery reports.

Using the SMS log you can always be informed about SMS messages sent from the billing panel to your customers and this may help to troubleshoot the handling of messages.

For example, it can be a problem if your customer did not receive an important message. In this case you can check whether the message has been sent or some error has occurred.

This module can be used to monitor SMS messages that were sent by the billing system to users. Furthermore, this makes it possible to get any information about the messages such as the delivery date, a user to whom the message was sent, his phone number, a current status and type of the sms, and so on. You can edit an SMS or delete it if needed.

View a list of SMS messages

  • ID - SMS unique identifier.
  • Phone number - user's phone number to which the SMS was sent. This phone number must be specified in the user edit form.
  • Message - text of the SMS message.
  • Customer - name of the customer to whom this SMS was sent.
  • User - username that the customer specified when registering in the billing panel.
  • Project - customer's project.
  • Type - SMS type:
    • Password recovery - the SMS contains a password recovery code. For more information please read the article BILLmanager password recovery.
    • Fraud protection' - the SMS contains a phone verification code. For more information please read the article Fraud protection.
    • Message - regular SMS.
  • Status - current SMS status:
    • New - a new SMS was sent.
    • Unknown - the status is unknown to the system.
    • Sent - the SMS was sent to the specified user.
    • Error - one or several error occurred while sending the SMS.
  • Date - date and time when the SMS was added to the queue.
  • Sent time - time when the SMS was sent.

Edit SMS

To edit an SMS, locate the message you wish to edit, click the "Edit" icon and modify the settings you want to change:

  • Phone number - change a user's phone number to which the SMS will be sent. This phone number must be specified in the customer edit form.
  • Message - enter a text of the SMS message.
  • Status - select a current SMS status:
    • New - a new SMS.
    • Unknown - the status is unknown to the system.
    • Sent - the SMS was sent to the specified user.
    • Error - one or several error occurred while sending the SMS.

To re-send the SMS choose a New status.

Delete SMS

To delete an SMS, select it and click the "Delete" icon. Confirm that you wish to delete the message by clicking OK on the following form.

Set filter

You can use the list filter to search the information about SMS by specific parameters. To initiate searching, click the "Filter" icon and fill out the form. You do not need to fill out all the fields. The search can be carried out by the customer ID, project, username, message status ans type, and time when it was sent.

Once the filter is set, the list will be filtered by SMS. You can clear the filter that you have previously set by clicking "Remove filter" button.
