User management (VDSmanager)

From ISPWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

VDSmanager allows you to distribute management functions among different users. There are two user types in the control panel:

  • Administrator- this is granted full access to all the virtual private servers, he can manage their parameters, such as IP-addresses and disk templates, grant access privileges to other VDSmanager users.
  • Reseller - this user has less permissions than the administrator; he can manage those virtual private servers that belong to his account.

Such users are not the operating system users, these accounts are used only in VDSmanager.

In this module you can create a new user, edit parameters on an existing one and delete him if necessary. You can also suspend any user account or activate it. Besides, you can switch to the control panel of any administrator or reseller if he experiences problems working with the control panel.
