View backup plan contents

  • Data type - the data type that will be included in the backup plan.
  • Data - content that will be included or excluded from the backup. The * symbol stands for the usage of all available data.
  • Status - graphical identifier indicating whether the content is included to the backup or not.

Add data

To add new data, click the "New" icon and fill out the form:

Module«Backup plan»
  • Action type - select the action type to include or exclude content in the backup plan:
    • Included to backup - this content is included in the backup plan.
    • Excluded from backup - this content is excluded from the backup plan.
  • Data type - select the data type that will be included in the backup plan. Depending on the data type selected, the last field will vary.
  • Path - enter the path to the file or folder you want to back up or enter / to include all the files and folders in the backup plan

When selecting All user's files, the back up system executes the followings:

  • creates a separate backup for each user along with the main backup;
  • each backup includes all data types available for this user, as if the user created his own backup plan and specified these data types to be included into the backup. User's data are not included into the main backup;
  • files that should be excluded from the mail backup are not backed up.
  • the user may restore the data from his backup.

Consider the following notes when entering information into the Path field:

if you choose "included to backup":

  • you cannot provide a path as a file template;
  • if there is the "/" symbol at the beginning of the path, the path is considered the file system's root;

if you choose "excluded from backup":

  • the path cannot be created using file templates, such as *.txt.
  • if there is no "/" symbol at the beginning of the file, the path will be considered relative. For example, ".txt" will be applied to all the files despite the directory they are located in. Whereas "/*.txt" will be applied only to the files located in the root directory.
