Device ports

Remote power switches and network switches are normally connected to ports. In this module you can view the list of ports, locate the number of any port, names of dedicated servers to which ports are assigned, ports' description and current status.

View the ports' list

  • Port - port number.
  • Server Id - unique identifier of a dedicated server connected to this port.
  • IP-address - IP-address of port-connected dedicated server.
  • Server name - name of a dedicated server connected to this port.
  • Description - description of a power switch port. This field will help you to identify a device connected to the port that is not present on the list of dedicated servers.
  • Status - port current status:
Image:p-on.png - the selected port is on.
Image:p-off.png - the selected port is off.
Image:p-onoff.png - status of the selected port is unknown.

Create new port

To create a new port, click "New" and fill out the form:

  • Port number - enter a newly created port number.
  • Information - describe the port. This field will help you to identify a device connected to the port that is not present on the list of the dedicated servers.

Edit port

To edit a port, locate the one you wish to edit, click the "Edit" icon and modify the settings you want to change.

Delete port

To delete a port, select it from the list and click the "Delete" icon. Confirm that you want to delete the selected port by clicking OK on the following form.
